Glazing, white tin glaze with Epsom salt in it. For some reason the salt turned the glaze gray?

Tea bowls, the clay is a recipe that my pottery teacher used when she taught college ceramics. It will fire from cone 6-10. I will fire between cone 7 & 8. My husband and I made the clay.

Too small for the water container, but I am going to try to make them next.

Test glaze made from 50% 100 mesh red clay dirt from Harwood, Texas & 50% ashes from my neighbor's fire pit here in Moulton, Texas. I use to worry when my neighbor Suzie would burn in her fire pit, but now I rejoice because of all the collected ashes! There is also a small amount of bentonite in this glaze. Testing on the inside of a bowl to 2247 F.
